St James Walkway

After the pass we descended down into a beautiful wide valley where Madeleine, Gordon and I camped the night with wild horses looking on.

The next day as we looked  back up the valley the clouds were sitting on the mountains once again.

Our trail now followed the St James walkway. Our food supplies were running low and we really were eating all the crumbs we could find in our pack as we were just about out of food!

We made it to the road at Lewis pass and hitched into Hamner Springs to resupply.  Although we only planned to spend the night we had a rest day as both of us were shattered.  We also sent two food parcels as there wasn't anywhere along the trail for the next 17 days where we could buy adequate supplies.
