Heading East

After waiting for the rain to stop we (Madeleine and I) set off late morning headed East from Ahipara into the beautiful Herekino Forest.  The path at times was slippery and a little bit of care was needed but the forest was lovely and our time on 90 mile beach soon felt as if it was a life time away as we admired the beauty of the Kauri trees.
