Quite hard when neither of the two people in the Kayak have ever been in one before and then have to row 12 miles in a choppy sea into a head wind!
We arranged in advance with Dan from Bay Beach Hire to rent a two person kayak for a day and for him to collect the kayak from our final destination.
It was a great fun and I would recommended the Kayak trip from Paihia toWaikare Landing to anyone else doing this section of the trail. It gave the feet a rest and we ended up with blisters on our hands as opposed to our feet!
