I set off from Hamilton in reasonable weather but as always after a rest day the pack feels heavier than it did before and it seems to to take longer to cover the miles. The trail followed mostly back country roads and fields before reaching the Kapamahunga Walkway. Although, only a short trail I thought it was really pretty.
